We’re delighted to announce that Anna Hall has graduated with her Master’s degree!
Anna first joined the lab as an undergraduate. Her self-motivation and passion for the natural world allowed her to effortlessly transition into grad school. After two years of research, Anna defended her thesis, “Assessing the effects of simulated grazing on shortgrass steppe plant communities under compound drought-deluge events.”

We’re grateful for the three years that we were able to enjoy her unique creativity, individuality, and effortless joy. In a brief survey of Anna’s peers (aka, people sitting nearby at seminar), she was described as: “beautiful,” “chill” (4x), and “a great skier.”

As someone who transitioned from undergrad right into grad school, Anna earned a break from academia and a killer vacation. She first traveled to Europe, took a brief respite back in her home state of Texas, and now is traveling Japan!
We’re excited to see where Anna’s path takes her next and have no doubt she’ll flourish in whatever position she chooses. In the meantime, we’re wishing her all the best as she enjoys post-grad freedom. Congratulations, Anna!
